// There are multiple themes that can be touched, directly or indirectly, by such a vast field study like cosmology and they all necessarily influence the thought processes once they are recognised, but one can’t focus on each and every one of them or make a list. One thing leaves lots to think about is how the research method takes place through simulations: on the basis of the collected data, models are created to try and explain by which logic the universe is made up and, through data itself, a fictitious model of the universe is created where, tuning parameters, the simulation is compared to reality to verify the reliability of the model. A mirror of reality that can lead to the question: what is truly Reality? Matter and antimatter, matter and energy, light and darkness, space and time, microcosmos and macrocosmos… all the assumptions are based on couples or groups of elements, it’s a matter of perspective, of relativity, one can never consider an entity isolated from the rest.

The project wants to explore some of the themes implied in the cosmological research, on a physics and philosophical level: from the idea of simulation, there’s a will to explore man’s relationship with the knowledge of the universe and how the perspective can change when two entities in such diverse scales are put in relation to one another. //

// Sono molteplici i temi che, direttamente o indirettamente, uno studio così specifico eppure così vasto come la cosmologia può toccare e necessariamente tutti vanno ad influenzare i processi di pensiero una volta che vengono riconosciuti, ma non si può focalizzarsi tutti o farne un elenco. Una cosa che lascia tanto a pensare è come la metodologia di ricerca avvenga attraverso simulazioni: sulla base di dati raccolti si creano modelli che provano a spiegare secondo quale logica è fatto l’universo e, attraverso gli stessi dati, si crea un modello di universo fittizio dove, regolando i parametri, si confronta la simulazione con la realtà per verificare l’attendibilità di un modello. Uno specchio della realtà che può far domandare: qual è veramente la realtà? Materia e antimateria, materia ed energia, luce e oscurità, spazio e tempo, microcosmo e macrocosmo… Tutti i presupposti si basano su coppie o gruppi di elementi, è questione di prospettiva, di relatività, non si può mai considerare un’entità isolata dalle altre.

Il progetto vuole esplorare alcuni dei temi implicati nella ricerca cosmologica, a livello fisico e filosofico: partendo dall’idea di simulazione, si vuole esplorare il rapporto dell’uomo con la conoscenza dell’universo e come la prospettiva può cambiare quando si mettono in relazione due entità in scale così diverse. //
